LETTER OF INVITATION
On behalf of the Society of Radiopharmaceutical Sciences, the Scientific Committee and the Local Organizing and Scientific Committee, we are honored and pleased to invite you to Bressanone, Italy, for the International Symposium on Technetium and Other Radiometals in Chemistry and Medicine.
The Symposium is held under the auspices of the University of Padova, Faculty of Pharmacy and Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, the Italian Chemistry Society (Inorganic Chemistry Division and GIR), the Italian Association of Nuclear Medicine, the Italian Society of Hospital Pharmacy, the Interdisciplinary Group of Radiopharmaceutical Chemistry,
the city of Bressanone-Brixen
and in collaboration with the International Atomic Energy Agency, the COSTD38 and COSTBM0607 EU Actions.
It is our intention to collect the interests of all the investigators in the field of technetium and other radiometal chemistry and those related disciplines oriented to the development of new radiopharmaceuticals for diagnosis and therapy. The Symposium approaches the multidisciplinary issues related to the development and production of new radiometal labeled compounds throughout the determination of their structures and their biological properties, in view of pre-clinical experiments to validate their clinical application in radiodiagnosis and/or radiotherapy.
The Symposium will encourage participation and interaction among students, postdoctoral fellows and senior scientists through its programming and social functions. To stimulate this generation change, the Organizing Committee will provide participation awards to students and trainees throughout an agreement with the SRS, the IAEA and Companies.
Bressanone is the perfect location for the Symposium. This old town, located between Bolzano and the Brenner pass on the Italy-Austrian border, is the artistic and cultural capital of the Eisack valley and is proud of its historical heritage and its lively turistic present. The attendees of the past Symposia found a cozy and friendly atmosphere in Bressanone and were delighted by its astonishing mountain landscapes. This year we will try to repeat the successes of the past editions with our Social Program. Please, be prepared: together with your curiosity for science, bring a pair of confortable walking shoes and a jacket for chilly evenings on the mountains.
LC Congressi, with its high professionalism and competence, will take care of the logistics before the Symposium and the hospitality during the Symposium.
